Prosecutor in the Dock: Adnan Tulić Suspected of Fraud in Obtaining a Loan

(Patria) - The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Central Bosnia Canton filed an indictment two days ago against Adnan Tulić, deputy chief cantonal prosecutor for the Department of Economic Crime, Taxes and Corruption of the Una-Sana Canton.

The indictment was filed for the criminal offense of fraud in obtaining a loan or other benefits under Article 268, paragraph 3, in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The indictment was fully confirmed by the Municipal Court in Livno on July 5, 2024.

By a decision of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Municipal Court in Livno was designated as the locally competent court to proceed with the indictment.

Adnan Tulić is charged with knowingly submitting an application with false information on July 19, 2022, following a published public call for approval of loan funds for the purchase of an apartment or construction of an individual residential building. Although he knew he did not meet all the conditions, he submitted an application stating that he and his family did not own a residential unit.

Based on a previously concluded preliminary contract, Tulić acquired ownership of an apartment, but stated the opposite in the application. He also concealed the fact that he had previously owned an apartment, which he sold in 2020. The Management Board of the Cantonal Fund for Housing Assistance approved him a loan in the amount of 95,000.00 KM, which was paid in two installments by October 12, 2022.

The loan amount was then used for the construction of a facility for another purpose, not for solving the housing issue, and the facility was registered as a vacation home and for providing catering services.

This concerns a villa located on the banks of the Una River in Lohovo near Bihać.

Tulić is charged with fraud in obtaining a loan, and the case will be handled before the Municipal Court in Livno.
