Dismissal of Bojan Bošnjak Stalled in Procedure: Okerić Has Not Scheduled Assembly Session Even 11 Days After Uk's Request

(Patria) - The session of the Canton Sarajevo Assembly at which Bojan Bošnjak, Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection, who has been ordered by the court to be banned from performing his duties, should be dismissed has still not been scheduled.

Prime Minister of Canton Sarajevo Nihad Uk signed the request for dismissal on 13 February and submitted it to the assembly procedure. However, there is no date for that session.

Incidentally, while Bošnjak was in custody, he was paid a salary of around 3,500 KM. Given that he has a court ban on performing his duties, the only logical solution is dismissal, since he himself has not submitted his resignation.

This ministry is being run by the Minister of Transport, Adnan Šteta.

Although the President of Our Party, Edin Forto, called on coalition partners on 20 December to start the reconstruction of the Canton Sarajevo Government, that process has not been completed to this day. It is the end of February, and there is still no Proposal for the Canton Sarajevo Budget for 2025, nor has an agreement been reached on the amount of the base for this year.

Bošnjak was arrested on 15 November 2024, and is suspected of having given a positive opinion on the environmental impact assessment during the legalisation process of an illegal urban planning project for construction on Bjelašnica, and of favouring the Mayor of Trnovo, Ibro Berilo, who is also under a measure banning him from performing his duties. Berilo was arrested for enabling illegal construction on Bjelašnica.
