House of Representatives adopted the agenda, the Draft Law on the Zenica Steelworks under urgent procedure despite opposition objections

(Patria) - The devaluation of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina continued today, when, in cooperation with the Government of the FBiH and the parliamentary majority of the Trojka, NES, and HDZ, they attempted to impose the Draft Law on the Procedure of Extraordinary Administration in the company Nova Željezara Zenica d.o.o. Zenica, of special systemic importance for the Federation of BiH.

And all this under urgent procedure, without the first man of the Federation of BiH, Nermin Nikšić.

The opposition demanded that the session be adjourned until Nikšić arrives at the session.

Deputy of the Democratic Front Mahir Mešalić stated that one billion marks will be needed for the revitalization of the Zenica Steelworks.

“Premier Nikšić is not here on a key issue for the workers! He could at least have deigned to show up; this is all part of the election campaign,” Mešalić emphasized.

SDA Deputy Adnan Efendić stated that this is throwing dust in the eyes of the Steelworks workers.

His party colleague Salko Zildžić believes that procedures have been violated and that if this law is adopted, it could be overturned at the Constitutional Court of the FBiH.

However, in the end, the urgent procedure and the agenda with one item were adopted, and then a break was given for working bodies related to this agenda item to hold their sessions.
