Inspection supervision confirmed: KJKP TRŽNICE-PIJACE implementing all hygiene measures, buy groceries exclusively at markets

(Patria) - Employees of the Cantonal Public Utility Company TRŽNICE - PIJACE d.o.o. Sarajevo are implementing necessary hygiene measures daily to ensure the sale of food and non-food products at markets is in line with prescribed standards, the company announced.

This was also confirmed by an inspection supervision by the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs, which covered 12 business units of this company on May 19.

During the supervision, inspectors determined that the sanitary and hygiene conditions are satisfactory, with a special emphasis on preventing rodent access, and proper record-keeping of cleaning, disinfection, disinsection, and deratization. The last preventive measures were carried out in mid-May this year.

KJKP TRŽNICE - PIJACE emphasizes that in addition to regular measures, they are also intensifying extraordinary activities, especially in the areas of Novi Grad and Dobrinja Municipalities. They also appealed for supervision of illegal street vendors, who often do not meet hygiene conditions for selling fruits, vegetables, and dairy products.

Given the declaration of a leptospirosis epidemic in Sarajevo Canton, the company will further intensify hygiene measures at all markets to ensure safe and healthy products for citizens.

Citizens are urged to buy groceries exclusively at markets organized by KJKP TRŽNICE - PIJACE to avoid risks of infection and poisoning.
