Bosnian pilgrims arrive in Mina: Improved living conditions and constant guide support

(Patria) - A group of 480 pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina arrived in Mina last night, a valley about five kilometers east of Mecca, where they will spend Jevmut-tervijeh today, the first day of the Hajj rituals.

One of the guides from the Office for Hajj and Umrah of the Islamic Community in BiH, Nezir-ef. Halilović, stated that the pilgrims were transported from hotels in Mecca to Mina by three buses and accommodated in tents, and that everyone is feeling well.

– The conditions are much better than in previous years, the tents are air-conditioned, and we feel much better. Last night, after arriving, we performed the dawn prayer, and the organizer distributed breakfast to us. Also, this year, two guides from the Office for Hajj and Umrah in BiH are accompanying the pilgrims – said Halilović.

Furthermore, he added, the guides are also responsible for organizing and monitoring the pilgrims' activities, as well as performing congregational prayers and fostering fellowship among the pilgrims.

– This evening, lectures and gatherings will be organized in both tents, so that all pilgrims receive equal information about the rituals, their stay in Mina, but also about the upcoming steps – departure for Arafat, going to Muzdalifah, and returning to Mina – explained Halilović.

Along with our pilgrims in Mina, besides Nezir Halilović, is guide Azrudin Smriko.

The departure of Bosnian pilgrims from Mina to Arafat is planned for tomorrow morning, marking the final stage of the Hajj rituals.

In Arafat, they will join the remaining pilgrims, who will be transported by buses from Mecca tonight. After Arafat, they will stay in Muzdalifah and collect pebbles, then perform the ritual of stoning at the Jamarat, followed by the continuation of the Hajj rituals.

The organization of the Hajj, according to the assessment of the guides and pilgrims, is proceeding successfully and in accordance with the highest standards set by the Office for Hajj and Umrah of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in BiH.

A total of 2,222 pilgrims departed this year under the organization of the Office for Hajj and Umrah of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in BiH. The first group of pilgrims is expected to return on June 16.
