Zvizdić will not schedule sessions of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly until a member of the Collegium from the Serbian people is appointed

(Patria) - The Chairman of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Denis Zvizdić (NIP), at today's emergency session called on authorized proposers to urgently submit a candidate proposal for the vacant position of a member of the Collegium from the Serbian people, and as soon as he receives such a proposal, a session will be scheduled immediately.

"My colleague Čavara and I share the same stance, we will not schedule regular sessions until the vacant position of a member of the Collegium is filled," Zvizdić said.

This position has been vacant since January 23, when, with the votes of the troika, SDA, DF, and the opposition from the RS, SNSD's Nebojša Radmanović was removed from the Collegium of this house. SNSD then proposed that Branislav Borenović (PDP) be appointed to the Collegium, but he refused and asked the deputies not to support that initiative, which they did by voting against it.

To date, there is no new proposal to fill the Collegium member position, and the SNSD Club has already not attended two sessions, or three if we count the first joint session of both houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and the BiH Council of Ministers, which was canceled on February 5 because SNSD delegates also left the session, thereby breaking the quorum. SNSD does not want to participate in the work of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, stating that the BiH Constitution, which clearly prescribes the composition of the Collegium of this house, has been violated.

After today's session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Zvizdić said that intensive negotiations are underway, which he expects to conclude in the coming days or weeks.

“I am confident that we will have a newly conceptually created government at the BiH level, composed of political options that are for peace and stability in BiH, fully pro-European oriented, and who want to see BiH as a peaceful, stable, European, democratic, and prosperous state. We all know certain limitations and the possibility of an illegal blockade of the House of Peoples, but I believe such actions cannot last long, and this initiated procedure for changing the composition of the state coalition will be fully realized,” Zvizdić stated.
