House of Representatives: No support for amendments that would allow cash salary payments

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament tonight did not adopt the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Financing of BiH Institutions, which would have allowed persons without bank accounts to receive salaries in cash.

The proposer of this legal solution, which was presented to the representatives in the first reading, was the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Marinko Čavara.

The representatives adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Benefits in BiH Institutions, which relate to an increase in the base salary by 30 to 50 percent for IT experts with secondary education employed in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Bill on Amendments to the Law on BiH Police Officers was also adopted, relating to the performance appraisal of police officers who used maternity or parental leave.

The representatives also supported the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Benefits in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The proposed amendments to the Law relate to the calculation of salaries for military personnel of the Armed Forces of BiH, particularly for the category of soldiers and non-commissioned officers, and police officers of all police agencies at the BiH level.

A conclusion was adopted that this legislative proposal be sent to the House of Peoples for its urgent consideration.

The House of Representatives also adopted reports on performance audits conducted on the topic "Adoption and Ensuring the Implementation of the Code of Ethics in BiH Institutions", on the topics "Activities of Institutions in the Process of Adopting Internal Organization Regulations" and "Determination of the Customs Value of Used Motor Vehicles".

There was no entity majority for the proposed decision on the Council of Persons with Disabilities of BiH, proposed by representative Rejhana Dervišević.

The House of Representatives tonight did not relieve Valentina Rupčić of her position as a member of the Management Board of the Radio Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
