Zahiragić: I call on SDA Novi Grad to respect the agreement and the position of party bodies, otherwise it will be confirmed that they work for lobbies

(Patria) - The position of each of our organizations is more important to me than the position of any other or third political party. However, the honor and trust we carefully built as the Sarajevo SDA, in the campaign for the local elections in the Novi Grad Municipality, and especially these days when the formation of the Municipal Council is current, have been called into question. That is still the most important thing to me. That is why, as usual, I will honestly write what I think, states the introduction of the post by the Vice President of SDA and cantonal representative Haris Zahiragić.

"The Municipal Organization of SDA Novi Grad yesterday, unfortunately, as during the scheduling of the constitutive session of the NG Municipal Council and the voting at the same, as well as during the scheduling of its first continuation, at the second continuation of the constitutive session, was again in coordination with the 'Trojka'. This coordination occurred in such a way that together they prevented the holding of the Municipal Council session, and then, through statements, first from NIP, and then from the MO SDA NG, they tried to completely shift the blame for the unsuccessful holding of the session onto SBiH - which should be honest and is not true," Zahiragić stated.

He adds: "After the meetings of the Collegium of the Cantonal Board of SDA with the Club of SDA Councilors in the NG Municipal Council - and our councilors on that occasion truly showed breadth, understanding, and full awareness of the current political moment - we were on the verge of a solution. After that, in accordance with the agreement from the meeting of the Collegium and the SDA Club, at the level of the negotiating teams of the Cantonal Board of SDA and SBiH, we still managed to reach a compromise regarding the candidate for the Chairman of the Municipal Council of the Novi Grad Municipality. He was supposed to be from SDA, and he agreed under the condition of receiving support from the entire Club and the President of the Municipal Board, and who, based on his position on the list and the number of votes, was a completely legitimate proposal. And he still is."

As he says, they did all this in accordance with the conclusions of the Cantonal Committee from the emergency session held on December 8.

"Despite this, it is obvious that the top leadership of the MO SDA Novi Grad, using manipulations and cheap tricks, did everything to ensure that the final agreement still did not happen. Given that the MO SDA Novi Grad decided to communicate its positions publicly, rather than internally, I call on them publicly to preserve the unity of the club, to adhere to the agreement reached with the parties SBiH and DF, and the conclusions of the Cantonal Committee for which their representatives in that body also voted, and to stop writing public statements and thus communicate with potential partners and dictate the pace to all of us, but instead, in good faith, finalize the agreement and coalition at the level of the Novi Grad Municipal Council in the way that is possible, and in accordance with the conclusions of the Cantonal Committee of SDA KS," wrote Zahiragić, and concluded:

"Otherwise, the suspicions that exist in a part of the interested public, and which I persistently do not want to believe, will be confirmed.
That is, the suspicions that this entire charade actually has nothing to do with the position of Chairman of the NG Municipal Council, nor even with local relations with SBiH, but rather with the fact that the construction lobby, fearing the potential capacity and potential agreement of SDA, SBiH, and DF regarding the election of the mayor, has activated its cells positioned in the top leadership of the MO SDA Novi Grad. Because the people who gave us support for an honest fight cannot otherwise explain the sudden love between the local organizations of SDA and NIP? If these suspicions are confirmed, and I sincerely hope they will not, perhaps the construction lobby will win one battle, but I promise you, they will not win the war!"
