KS Government and Our Party Respect Presumption of Innocence in Minister Bošnjak Case, Trust His Honor and Innocence

(Patria) - Our Party, which proposed him, and the Sarajevo Canton Government have commented on the arrest of the Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of KS, Bojan Bošnjak.

“The Sarajevo Canton Government consistently adheres to the principle of the rule of law and actively cooperates with all competent institutions in their activities.

We express our trust in the honor and innocence of Minister Bojan Bošnjak. Should any member of our Government be found responsible, we will take appropriate measures in accordance with the law and moral principles,” the KS Government announced.

Our Party did not hide their surprise at today's operation and claim they do not know what Bošnjak is suspected of.

They announced that they fully support the work of the judiciary.

"In this regard, we also want to say that we respect the presumption of innocence of all suspects in this process and expect the investigative bodies to release very clear information as soon as possible about the status of individuals and what they are suspected of," Our Party stated.

Minister Bošnjak was arrested as part of an operation codenamed "Incitat 2".

He is suspected of giving a positive opinion on the strategic environmental impact assessment report, through which he intended to legalize illegal urban construction projects on Bjelašnica for suspects Ibri Berilo and Nađa Milišić. This strategy was previously refused by two ministers, and after taking office, Minister Bošnjak signed the strategy this year. It was precisely because of illegal construction on Bjelašnica that Ibro Berilo, the head of Trnovo, and several other individuals were previously arrested.
