ITA moves forward: Tender announced for purchase of building owned by Milorad Dodik's godfather

(Patria) - The Indirect Taxation Authority today published on the Public Procurement Portal a Notice of Procurement - an open public procurement procedure for the purchase of an existing building in the area of the City of Banja Luka for the accommodation of employees and accompanying equipment of the ITA for the Main Office and the seat of the Regional Center Banja Luka.

"The complete tender documentation for the subject procurement can be found on the public procurement portal. The ITA invites all natural and legal persons who have an interest and meet the conditions to participate in the public procurement procedure, and to submit their bids within 45 days.

We remind that in previous years, the ITA resolved the accommodation of employees in RC Sarajevo, Mostar and Tuzla, while employees in the Main Office and RC Banja Luka work in extremely poor conditions at 4 locations. The Indirect Taxation Authority will conduct the procedure transparently in accordance with the Law on Public Procurement of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the ITA stated.

We remind that this is about the continuation of the process by which an attempt is being made to purchase a building for this state institution for nearly 100 million KM from Mile Radišić, the godfather of Milorad Dodik.

So far, there have been several unsuccessful attempts to purchase a building for the accommodation of the central office of the ITA in Banja Luka, but the state simply does not have enough money for the property owned by Mile Radišić, which is the only one that meets the conditions according to the prescribed needs of the ITA.

Subsequently, a Declaration on stopping the purchase of the building of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina was proposed in Parliament. It was not placed on the agenda of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina because those against were from SNSD, HDZ, but also almost the entire Troika.

The only one from the parliamentary majority who voted to discuss this declaration was NiP's Denis Zvizdić, the Chairman of the House of Representatives.

All representatives of SNSD and HDZ were against, and when it comes to the Troika, NiP's Nihad Omerović abstained, while SDP's Saša Magazinović, Albin Muslić, Jasmin Imamović and Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević, and Predrag Kojović from Our Party were against.

Sabina Ćudić from Our Party and Rejhana Devišević from SDP were not present at the session, while NiP's Mia Karamehić Abazović was not there at the time of voting, although she was at the session.

Later, the Anti-Corruption Commission of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) heard the director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, Zoran Tegeltija.

The opposition from both entities of our country was unanimous during the hearing that lasted more than three hours. They assess the purchase of the building as scandalous and shameful. There is no doubt, they claim, that favoritism is at play. There is room, they add, for investigative institutions. However, the question is whether anyone will be heard there or whether the hearing will remain with the Commission.
