UIO BiH and the Disputed Millions: Tegeltija at Hearing, Trojka Previously Prevented Debate on Purchase of 'Godfather's Building'

(Patria) - The Anti-Corruption Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) has scheduled a public hearing for 19.2.2025 with the Director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zoran Tegeltija.

"The public hearing with the Director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH has been scheduled in connection with the planning, approval, and implementation of the multi-year project for the procurement and construction of a facility for the Banja Luka Regional Center and the Main Office of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH in Banja Luka," it was announced.

We recall that the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted a Decision on amendments and supplements to the Decision approving the project for the procurement and construction of facilities for the regional centers and the Central Office of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH (UIO BiH).
According to this decision, 71,400,000 KM was approved for the procurement and equipping of the facility for the Central Office, of which 67,500,000 KM is for the procurement of the building and 3,900,000 KM for equipping.

In fact, this is a continuation of the process by which an attempt is being made to purchase a building for this state institution for nearly 100 million KM from Mile Radišić, the godfather of Milorad Dodik.

So far, there have been several unsuccessful attempts to purchase a building to house the central office of the UIO in Banja Luka, but the state simply does not have enough money for the property owned by Mile Radišić, which is the only one that meets the conditions according to the prescribed needs of the UIO.

Subsequently, a Declaration on stopping the purchase of the building of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina was proposed in Parliament. This was not placed on the agenda of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina because those from SNSD, HDZ, and almost the entire Trojka were against it.

The only one from the parliamentary majority who voted to discuss this declaration was NiP's Denis Zvizdić, the Chairman of the House of Representatives.

All representatives of SNSD and HDZ were against it, and when it comes to the Trojka, NiP's Nihad Omerović abstained, while SDP's Saša Magazinović, Albin Muslić, Jasmin Imamović, and Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević, as well as Predrag Kojović from Our Party, were against it.

Sabina Ćudić from Our Party and Rejhana Devišević from SDP were not present at the session, while NiP's Mia Karamehić Abazović was not there at the time of the vote, although she was at the session.

The entire opposition voted for the inclusion of this declaration on the agenda.
