Victims' associations support the Bill on State Property submitted by Bećirović and Komšić

(Patria) - The Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide and the Association of the Movement of Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves have expressed support for the submission of the Bill on State Property to the procedure by members of the Presidency of BiH, Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić.

"We support the Bill on State Property that Messrs. Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić, members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have submitted to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina for decision-making. Bosnia and Herzegovina is the holder of ownership rights over all state property, and entities and other levels of government may use and manage state property that is necessary for the performance of their individual competencies.

We emphasize that all laws at the level of the RS entity are discriminatory and were passed with the intention of preventing the return of the expelled and hindering the rights of victims of genocide and crimes against humanity, and the issue of state property is a matter of BiH's survival.

We call on the High Representative - OHR and the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) to unequivocally support the proposal of the BiH Presidency members on state property and, in case of blockade and obstruction, to use their authority and impose the said law.

We witness daily unconstitutional and legal attacks on the state of BiH and its citizens, while the guarantors of the Dayton Peace Agreement do nothing to effectively stop, prevent, and sanction criminal acts directed at the state of BiH and its citizens.

We call on them to show their genuine will and commitment, which they rhetorically demonstrate without effective and efficient measures, not only for the good of BiH but also for peace and security in the Balkans and the world, by supporting the Bill proposed by the members of the BiH Presidency", stated these associations.
