
(Patria) - An investigator from the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the ground at the Okolišta site, Višegrad municipality, where, by order of the acting prosecutor and with a warrant from the Court of BiH, she coordinates the work of all officials participating in the process of exhumation and search for missing persons.
At the mentioned location, the remains of at least five persons have been found, and the search continues.
Present at the exhumation are a permanent court expert - pathologist, a representative of the Institute for Missing Persons (INO) of BiH, necessary workers and machinery, police officers of SIPA, and the location is secured by police officers of the Višegrad Police Station.
After the exhumation, the remains will be transferred to the City Cemetery "Miljevići" in East Sarajevo for further forensic medical processing and identification via DNA analysis.
In this case, information and knowledge about the location where the remains are located were obtained through joint and coordinated work of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, SIPA, and INO BiH.
