(Patria) - The two-day regular session of the Steering Board (SB) of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) began in Sarajevo this evening, dedicated to discussing key issues and current developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The invitation to the meeting stated that the international community wishes to exchange views on the degree of implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the possibilities for strengthening political stability, institutional functionality, and the continuation of BiH's European path until the General Elections in 2026. Among the key issues expected to be discussed are the appointment of the chief negotiator for the EU and the laws on the Court of BiH and the HJPC.

Heads of caucuses in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH have also been invited to the meeting, and they will have the opportunity to address the PIC SB. The SNSD Caucus and the Serb Caucus – parties of the ruling majority in Republika Srpska – did not respond to the invitation.
