The Israeli Embassy and the Chamber of Commerce of the State of Israel in BiH had initially planned to organize the reception at the Hotel Europe.

However, the hotel management canceled the reception, stating that the company "Aluminij Industries" d.o.o. Mostar had reserved a smaller hall, but the management did not clarify exactly what it was about.

Before the reception, the Israeli Ambassador to BiH, Galit Peleg, had dinner with the President of the RS, Milorad Dodik.

In their company was also the controversial director of Mostar's Aluminij, Amir Gross Kabiri, known to the wider public in BiH as the vice-president of NK Zrinjski, but also for various controversies, incitements, and aggressive public appearances.

"It is a sad occasion, but it is a great honor for the RS where the commemoration is being held for the killed, wounded, and captured Jews in the attack on Hamas on October 7 last year.

With this act, the Israeli Ambassador to BiH, Galit Peleg, reciprocates the understanding and sympathy of the Serbian people in these sad and difficult days for the institutions and people of the State of Israel. Our support is extended to you," Dodik stated on X.

Dodik added, among other things, that he discussed the situation in the Middle East with the ambassador.
