Monday gathering in front of the Faculty of Science due to the Regulatory Plan Quadrant C

(Patria) - The Faculty of Science of the University of Sarajevo has announced a peaceful gathering of employees for Monday at 12:00 PM due to dissatisfaction with the Draft Regulatory Plan Quadrant C.

This regulatory plan, among other things, envisions the construction of a megalomaniac building, the so-called WTC, up to 50 meters in height.

According to the regulatory plan, it is proposed that roads for private residential-commercial buildings be built on the area belonging to the Faculty of Science.

They believe that the solutions are extremely unfavorable for this faculty and the property of the University of Sarajevo, and that no one contacted them during the planning process.

"The planned construction usurps the Faculty's ownership of the land and significantly disrupts the functionality of teaching and scientific research work, as well as the safety of its employees and students," they stated.

The Dean of the Faculty of Science, Nusret Drešković, also participated in a public hearing in the Novo Sarajevo Municipality, where he announced a legal battle, and if necessary, they will physically defend the property of the Faculty and the University of Sarajevo.

At the gathering, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Nusret Drešković, and the President of the Association of Students of the Faculty of Science, Harun Zubčević, will address the attendees.
