(Patria) - SDA demands that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, ex officio, immediately prosecute the organizers of the celebration of Serbia's Statehood Day in Banja Luka.
By displaying the Serbian flag in the institutions of the RS entity and raising it on a flagpole in Banja Luka, the organizers have knowingly and brazenly violated the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, which issued a temporary measure prohibiting such actions, as they represent a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH is obliged to apply the provisions of the Criminal Code of BiH, which clearly state that violating the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH is a criminal offense punishable by up to five years in prison, it was announced.
Otherwise, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, continues his two-day stay in Banja Luka, on the occasion of the joint celebration of Sretenje - Statehood Day of Serbia and Republika Srpska, as announced by the organizers of this event.
A meeting between the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, was held in the Palace of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka in the morning hours.
Dodik stated that RS and Serbia jointly celebrate significant historical events for the Serbian people, and that a joint committee will be formed this year to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Jasenovac concentration camp.
"We are jointly celebrating significant historical events, including Sretenje, which is immeasurable," Dodik said at a press conference after the meeting of officials from Republika Srpska and Serbia.
He emphasized that Republika Srpska and Serbia will jointly mark the Nevesinjska puška and commemorate the Serbs killed in the Croatian operation "Oluja", as well as the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Vučić said he hopes that other high-ranking guests will attend the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the breakthrough of the Jasenovac concentration camp, the largest place of suffering in Southeast Europe.
He said he invited the President of Israel to join because, in addition to the Serbian people, many Jews and Roma suffered in the Jasenovac concentration camp, and he believes he will participate in that.
Under the slogan "Unity and Pride", a ceremonial academy was held in Banja Luka last night to mark Sretenje.
