It's all a farce, isn't it Mioković?!

Not even ten days have passed since Dragan Mioković (Our Party), Mladen Bošković (HDZ), and Azra Okić (SDP), as the leadership of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, assured us that there were no open issues or problems within the parliamentary majority, that it was a stable majority, and that they had no serious disputes.

Even then, it was clear that this was a transparent lie, especially from the head of the House of Representatives, Dragan Mioković, because for months it had been evident that the parliamentary majority in the Federation functioned on a 'trange-frange' model: only what was balanced in terms of interests between two or three sides was passed, while citizens, the state, and public interest were completely removed from the political equation.

It was painful to watch the Parliament's leadership praise themselves from positions of privilege, and it was particularly difficult to watch Mioković, as part of the 'Trojka', hypocritically present concessions to Čović and the HDZ as successes of the current majority.

And then - barely ten days later - that same majority demonstrated its fragile and pathetic construction. A session that wasn't even held was formally adjourned before it began because even the votes bought under the patronage of Michael Murphy, nor the movement of those aligned for positions (NES), were enough to secure a quorum.

“Please, hands, hands,” Mioković pleaded, but there was no response, so after a roll-call vote, he could only state that the 22nd regular session was ending before it even began.

What particularly irritates and offends the common sense of citizens is this government's behavior towards the opposition. No previous parliamentary majority, however weak or dysfunctional, begged the opposition for help or accused political opponents of their own failures and inaction.

This current government is the first in the history of the Federation that doesn't know how to function without begging or shifting blame. Whenever they face difficulties, when they lack votes or their agreements fall apart, they start a panicked call to the opposition to save them. And if the opposition refuses to participate in this political farce, accusations immediately begin that they are to blame for the failure to adopt laws and the blocking of the system.

Even more absurd is that the same people in power blame the opposition in the media daily for failures they themselves produce. While positions, sinecures, and tenders are the priority, and public interest is merely a dead letter on paper, the rulers have found a perfect excuse – the opposition, allegedly, hinders them in implementing major projects that they never planned to implement anyway. Instead of taking responsibility, they continue with the pathetic practice of shifting blame, thereby further demonstrating their own political cowardice and incompetence.

Therefore, let it be clear: this is not a government, it is a trade union of political pickpockets who use their mandates as currency for bartering in the distribution of positions, budgets, and influence.

Citizens are their statistical decoration, institutions have been turned into a playground for private deals and international alibi reports on supposed progress, and the state serves only as a backdrop for a shameless political auction.

This is the most shameless cohort of political traders in the modern history of BiH. And remember: whoever remains silent today in the face of this farce – tomorrow will be its accomplice.
