Work on the second section begins tomorrow, Obala Kulina bana will be closed to traffic until Sunday afternoon

(Patria) - Asphalt paving of the road in Obala Kulina bana street from the junction with Kulovića street to the Ćumurija bridge begins tomorrow, and the road will be closed to traffic from Skenderija.

On Sunday afternoon, after the asphalt has completely dried, the road is expected to be opened to traffic.

Last weekend, the asphalt paving of the first part of the street, from Skenderija to the junction with Kulovića street, began and was completed.

Tram traffic will operate on line no. 6 Ilidža - Skenderija, and buses will use alternative routes.

After the final asphalt layer is laid on this section of the road, finishing works will be carried out in the upcoming period, mostly during night hours, to fully complete the road.

We remind you that on the section from Skenderija to Radićeva, where the final asphalt layer was laid last year, the works were not performed well, according to the quality control laboratory report.

The contractor was obliged to rectify the situation at their own expense, which was done last weekend.

This involved milling and re-asphalting the entire section from Skenderija to Radićeva, as well as leveling manholes, drainage grates, and removing asphalt on pedestrian paths and re-asphalting them.

On the section from Radićeva to the Ćumurija bridge, where a temporary asphalt layer was previously laid at the contractor's expense, works will be carried out to remove that layer and lay the final asphalt layer.

The Ministry of Transport and the Directorate for Roads thank the citizens for their understanding and patience, and expect maximum commitment from the contractor in carrying out the works.
