SPS informed about the arrival of citizens from Gaza to BiH, awaiting further instructions from competent authorities

(Patria) - The Service for Foreigners' Affairs has been informed about the arrival of a group of BiH citizens and their family members to BiH, after they were evacuated from Gaza. They are expected to arrive during the weekend, and the plane was paid for by the State of Qatar. At this moment, it is not known who will greet them at Sarajevo International Airport and where they will be accommodated. We are also awaiting answers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.

The Service for Foreigners' Affairs responded to Patria that they are obliged to act.

"Upon entering Bosnia and Herzegovina, they are obliged to report to the Service for Foreigners' Affairs for their stay registration purposes to record their residential address.

For further activities related to their residency status, the Service for Foreigners' Affairs will act in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Foreigners and any decisions of the competent BiH authorities," stated the SPS.

Of the 36 people evacuated from Gaza, 19 possess BiH citizenship, while their family members do not have BiH citizenship.

The issue of their stay, accommodation, and further procedures remains unresolved. If we receive a response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the details of their arrival and accommodation, we will publish it later.
