SPS: 71 Chinese citizens found in Stolac without temporary stay and work permits

(Patria) - The Service for Foreigners' Affairs informs the public that unofficial information about the Service's activities has appeared in the media, and hereby announces official and confirmed data.

As part of its regular activities, inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs conducted a check of the stay and employment of foreign nationals at the Komanja Brdo site, municipality of Stolac, on 03.10.2025.

A total of 141 citizens of the People's Republic of China were found, of whom 71 were employed without a previously approved temporary stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina and without a work permit. Travel documents were temporarily confiscated from the said persons, for which receipts were issued, and proceedings were initiated in accordance with the Law on Foreigners.

A total of 71 passports were confiscated, and legal actions will be taken against all persons.

Furthermore, the responsible person's passport was confiscated due to observed irregularities, and they were summoned to the official premises of the Mostar Field Center.

This activity represents a significant result of the inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, who, through continuous and coordinated actions, work to prevent illegal stay and employment of foreign nationals, as well as to protect the security and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Service for Foreigners' Affairs will continue with intensified controls in the coming period, with the aim of ensuring full implementation of legal regulations and preserving institutional responsibility.
