SPS expels three Romanian citizens: Illegally engaged in economic activity, large quantity of jewelry found

(Patria) - Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Prnjavor Police Station, took measures against three citizens of Romania.

During the inspection of a passenger motor vehicle in the place of Galjipovci, a large quantity of goods – jewelry intended for sale, without documentation of origin, was found.

The said goods were temporarily confiscated by the Department for Inspection Affairs of the City of Prnjavor, and one of the foreign citizens was issued a misdemeanor order and fined in accordance with valid legal regulations.

The individuals were handed over to the jurisdiction of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs and placed in the Field Center Banja Luka, where, with the presence of an interpreter, it was determined that they had stayed in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the visa-free regime, but illegally engaged in economic activity, thereby violating residency regulations.

The Service for Foreigners' Affairs issued a decision on the cancellation of the right to visa-free stay, and imposed the measure of expulsion from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a period of one year, due to non-compliance with public order in Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., laws and other regulations, and engaging in activities without the approval of the competent authority.

The Service for Foreigners' Affairs continues to implement measures and activities aimed at controlling the legality of the stay and work of foreign citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
