(Patria) - The Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton voted 21 in favour to dismiss Bojan Bošnjak (NS) from the position of Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection at today's session.
Bošnjak was arrested on 15 November for abuse of official position, and since 7 February has been under measures prohibiting him from performing his duties, nor may he enter the building of the Government of the Sarajevo Canton.
During today's debate, representatives highlighted the fact that this exceptionally complex Ministry has been without a minister for 100 days, and the opposition pointed out that this shows how the government in the Sarajevo Canton operates.
The Speaker of the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton, Elvedin Okerić, said that he too hopes that a proposal for a new minister will be submitted within the next 20 or so days.
Since yesterday, this Ministry has been managed by the Minister of Veterans' Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, Omer Osmanović (NIP), after Adnan Šteta, the Minister of Transport of the Sarajevo Canton, had been doing so for the past more than two months.
