IS CHAOS TO FOLLOW AT 6:00 AM, CARRIERS' PROTEST BEGINS, MEDIA ADDRESS AT 12:00 PM IN THE BiH PARLIAMENT BUILDING

(Patria) - Starting at 6:00 AM, a protest by road carriers, organized by the Logistics Consortium BiH, will begin across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Consortium has informed the public that the protests will last until the conditions are met.

This is the list of demands:

1. Elimination of discrimination against drivers in the EU – respect for the AETR Agreement.
2. Fulfillment of MKT BiH promises – amendments to regulations within its jurisdiction.
3. Financial relief for carriers – refund of 50% excise duty, 50% discount on road tolls, and exporter of services status.
4. Acceleration of border crossings, inspection, and customs procedures – elimination of multi-hour waiting times.

The Consortium claims to have received support from the Management Board of the Association of Carriers within the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, the Association of Road Carriers of Republika Srpska, and the Association of Carriers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A press conference is scheduled for today at 12:00 PM in the BiH Parliament building, where the reasons will be explained and messages will be conveyed.

The Consortium has issued instructions to the protest participants:

• The protest begins on 01.09.2025. at 06:00 AM across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
• PLENUM coordinators in each local community are obliged to contact police administrations, mayors, and city managers to ensure order and safety.
• During the protest, our supply chains will be suspended, from local communities to border crossings.

Rules of Conduct

• You must obey all police orders and cooperate with law enforcement.
• Any provocation and independent action is strictly forbidden.
• PLENUM coordinators determine the dynamics and intensity of the protest – all participants are obliged to follow their instructions.
• The protest must be conducted with discipline, order, and selectivity – without individual arbitrariness.
• State borders are inviolable – any individual arbitrariness that could jeopardize the order or international reputation of BiH is strictly forbidden.
• Avoid conflicts – our protest is dignified and aimed at achieving rights, not at confrontations.
• Coordinators are flexible and prudent in their assessments and individual decision-making.
