Renowned actress Meg Ryan presented with the "Heart of Sarajevo" Award

(Patria) - Director of the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) Jovan Marjanović presented Hollywood actress Meg Ryan with the "Heart of Sarajevo" award tonight at the Sarajevo Summer Cinema for her exceptional contribution to film art.

The renowned actress was greeted by a large audience with thunderous applause and ovations, writes Faktor.ba.

At the same venue, as part of the Open Air program, the audience will watch a film starring Ryan. It is the 1998 romantic comedy "You've Got Mail", which was screened at the SFF in 1999.

The film stars Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, Parker Posey, Jean Stapleton, Dave Chappelle, Steve Zahn, Greg Kinnear.

"You've Got Mail" is about Kathleen Kelly who hates Joe Fox, the owner of the "Fox" bookstore chain, who is about to open one of his branches across from her small children's bookstore.

However, after meeting online, unaware of each other's true identities, the two begin an intense online romance.

Ultimately, Joe discovers that the charming woman he is involved with is actually his business rival, forcing him to reconcile the animosity he feels towards her in real life with the love she has ignited in him in the virtual world.

Also, as part of the Special Screenings program, another film with Meg Ryan will be shown, "What Happens Later", in which she is both the director and an actress. The film is about former lovers who get stranded and are forced to spend the night at a small regional airport...

Meg Ryan gained widespread recognition for her comedic appeal in her first Golden Globe-nominated role as Sally Albright in the film "When Harry Met Sally", directed by Rob Reiner and written by Nora Ephron.
