KS Assembly to Dismiss Minister Bojan Bošnjak Today

(Patria) - The 20th working session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly has been scheduled for today in Sarajevo, starting at 9:00 AM.

The agenda includes only three items, the first being deputies' questions, initiatives, and answers.

The second item on the agenda is the Proposal of the Decision on Confirming the Dismissal of a Minister in the Government of Sarajevo Canton.

"The dismissal of Bojan Bošnjak from the position of Minister of the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction, and Environmental Protection in the Government of Sarajevo Canton is confirmed.

This decision enters into force on the day of its adoption and will be published in the 'Official Gazette of Sarajevo Canton'," reads this proposal, which the cantonal deputies will vote on.

Bošnjak was arrested in the 'Inicitat 2' case and spent almost three months in custody. Since February 7, he has been subject to restrictive measures, including a ban on performing official duties and a ban on entering the KS Government building. On February 13, Prime Minister Nihad Uk submitted a request for his dismissal. Minister Bošnjak was arrested on suspicion of abusing his position by giving a positive opinion on an environmental impact study. According to the KS Prosecutor's Office, this enabled the legalization of an urban project on Bjelašnica.

The last item on the agenda is the Proposal of the Decision on Appointing a Public Attorney for the KS Public Attorney's Office. The current acting attorney, Samir Termiz, has been proposed for a full term.
