Session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly: Špirić Sets Order of Agenda Items, RS Opposition Claims It Was Deliberate

(Patria) - The urgent session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly has begun, and at the very start, some delegates objected to the order of items on the agenda. The last two items are the dismissals of SNSD's officials Nikola Špirić, and ministers Srđan Amidžić and Staša Košarac.

Delegates from PDP and SDS pointed out that they had requested an urgent session of the House of Peoples as early as March 7. The Chairman of the House, Nikola Špirić (SNSD), said that while he presides, he will not participate in political score-settling.

"When someone finishes those political score-settlings and has a clear vision, then we will discuss it. All items are on the agenda; you want political score-settling to be item 1. I think it is more important to have laws, but I will not forbid anyone from discussing the agenda all day. Do not accuse us of blocking something. The chairman is not a punching bag. There are ambiguities in the Rules of Procedure; when we change them, then it will be precise," said Špirić.

Nenad Vuković (PDP) said that the chairman does not have the right to determine the order of agenda items.

"You did that because you probably plan to leave the session. This was done deliberately to prepare an exit from the session before the items on dismissal," said Vuković.

14 delegates are present at the session, and Ilija Cvitanović (HDZ 1990) justified his absence.

Delegate Zlatko Miletić (ZNG) asked whether the agenda was adopted at the Collegium and who determined the order of items.

Želimir Nešković (SDS) pointed out that SNSD left sessions every time the dismissal of SNSD officials came up.

"Today I call on you to stay and to vote on all laws that will help our citizens," said Nešković.

He also problematized the deadline for scheduling the urgent session. Špirić retorted that he scheduled the session within three days, and the date of that session is April 2.
