Unions Await Uk's Call: Base Salary Will Increase

(Patria) - The Coordination of Unions in KS expects the meeting with Cantonal Prime Minister Nihad Uk to be held on Friday, January 24.

As stated in their letter, there is no need for dialogue with the Coordination of Unions to be conducted through the media.

"We need to conclude negotiations on the base salary for 2025 before the KS Government determines the Bill on the Execution of the KS Budget for 2025 and the KS Budget Proposal for 2025.

Prime Minister Uk stated in yesterday's appearance on N1 that he will talk with the unionists.

“I am in constant contact with union members. I don't like being blackmailed with deadlines. The only deadline is the KS budget. We will sit down and talk. I am not running away from the fact that the base salary must increase, because the minimum wage has risen. We will talk in a friendly atmosphere. For the same job position, depending on the level at which the employee works, the salary is different. We need to delve a little deeper into the budgets,” he explained.

The current base salary is 385 KM, and the Union's request is to increase it to 425 KM. Eight unions represent 16,200 employees in the public sector of Sarajevo Canton.
