SDA: Due to corruption of the Troika's cadres, the construction of the highway has been called into question, dismissals and resignations must follow

(Patria) - The fact that the European Investment Bank (EIB) has suspended financing for the construction of Corridor Vc due to suspicion of corruption in the FBiH Motorways Directorate is a first-class scandal for which, in addition to the criminal responsibility of the direct actors, the political responsibility of the FBiH Government must also be initiated, the Party of Democratic Action stated in a press release.

"The FBiH Motorways Directorate should be dismissed urgently, and resignations should also be submitted by those responsible in the FBiH Government, first and foremost the Prime Minister and the relevant minister. It is an open secret that the EIB's condition for continued financing is the dismissal of the Directorate, but that Nikšić persistently refuses to do so.

The investigation being conducted by the European Public Prosecutor's Office due to corruption against the FBiH Motorways Directorate, which consists of cadres from HDZ and SDP, adds an additional dimension to the 'Spengavanje' affair," the statement said.

They added: "The imposed Prime Minister Nikšić, following the principle of 'catch the thief,' demanded from the compromised acting director of FUP the 'spengavanje' of the former Motorways Directorate, and it turned out that the European prosecutor should 'spenga' the Directorate that the Troika appointed together with HDZ due to theft."

"The silence of the FBiH Government and FBiH Motorways, which have been hiding from the public for six months that the EIB has suspended financing, is scandalous, thereby calling into question the continuation of highway construction, as well as the liquidity of the company itself. To complete the hypocrisy, the federal prime minister recently boasted about a newly built 11-kilometer highway section, whose design and financing were completed during the mandate of the previous government.

Equally hypocritical is the statement of Our Party, which calls for dismissals in Motorways, as if they themselves are not part of the ruling coalition and as if they did not participate in the appointment of the Directorate suspected of corruption," they concluded in the SDA statement.
