Last group of this year's pilgrims from BiH departed from Sarajevo Airport

(Patria) - The last group of future pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina was sent off to Mecca today from Sarajevo International Airport.

This group includes the reisul-hudžadž Nusret-ef. Abdibegović, who pointed out the significance of performing this Islamic duty in the life of a Muslim.

- Pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina are going to the holy sites, to Mecca and Medina. It is their spiritual homeland, and they are representatives of Muslims from this region at this year's gathering of pilgrims from around the world - said efendija Abdibegović.

He assessed that this year's leadership of the Hajj and Umrah Office has made great efforts and ensured adequate living conditions at the holy sites.

- We are hearing positive news and I hope that everything will go smoothly this year as well. The Islamic Community is succeeding year after year in providing better and better conditions, so that pilgrims can perform their duty more easily and beautifully - emphasized Abdibegović.

Given that the Hajj can and should be understood as a congress of Muslims worldwide, Abdibegović said that the pilgrims will face certain issues of global importance for Muslims.

- There will be global, regional, and local issues. From those concerning the Muslims of the Balkans, through discussions about Gaza and Palestine, and we will probably also talk about the dormant Arab world which is nevertheless awakened by the recitation of the talbiyah - 'I am here, O God, I am here' - Abdibegović stated.

At the airport, we also spoke with Sead Islamović from Sarajevo, who is performing the Hajj this year with his wife for his parents.

- The previous impressions from the Hajj are extremely good, and I am happy for the opportunity to visit the holy sites again. I look forward to the time I will spend with other pilgrims, and we believe that, God willing, we will be able to perform the Hajj as our faith dictates and return to our homeland - stated Islamović.

Weeks before departing for Hajj, the guides communicated with their groups, and Islamović rated the communication with his group's guide, Amer Jugo, as extremely successful and useful.

- Our guide really made an effort to inform us through the Viber group about everything that awaits us and the rules of Hajj and Umrah. I must say that I am satisfied with the support we have from the guides and the entire Hajj and Umrah Office - emphasized Islamović.

We remind you that 2225 pilgrims traveled for Hajj from Bosnia and Herzegovina this year.
