President and four members of the RS Electoral Commission resign

(Patria) - The president and four members of the RS Electoral Commission resigned today, confirmed Oliver Blagojević, who served as president, for RTRs.

Blagojević said that after the session, they submitted their resignations to the protocol of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, in accordance with the conclusion of the Government of Republika Srpska, which called on all members of the election implementation bodies from RS to resign from their positions, because the imposition of amendments to the Election Law of BiH is unacceptable.

He said that two members did not attend the session of the RS Electoral Commission today for justified reasons and that he does not know if they will also resign.

Blagojević also stated that at the session they were informed about the Draft Election Law of Republika Srpska.

Nenad Stevandić, Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, reiterated today that a special session on the Election Law of RS will be held next week, and that the law will be adopted by April 20.

On the other hand, SNSD is requesting an urgent session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, which will consider the political situation, especially the decisions of Christian Schmidt, which SNSD representatives demand to be annulled.
