Indictment confirmed in "Envelope" case

(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment in the high corruption case "Envelope" against 14 persons.

The accused are Adna Mesihović, Dženita Viteškić, Ibrahim Obhođaš, Edna Pavić Pečenković, Muhamed Ajanović, Dalila Hakalović, Murat Ramadanović, Mersiha Šabaredžović Klačar, Jasminka Sijerčić, Maida Čohodar Husić, Lidija Zvačko Pehar, Dejan Milošević, Kasim Bajrović, Emina Kiseljaković.

They are charged with criminal offenses of abuse of office or authority, receiving a reward or other form of benefit for trading in influence, and fraud in service.

As stated earlier by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, Muhamed Ajanović, together with Dalila Hakalović, Adna Mesihović and Dženita Viteškić, in order to secure an illegal extension of his term, then used his friendly connections with Mesihović, Viteškić and Hakalović, in order to secure the adoption of the necessary opinions and instructions from the Ministry through them, which allowed him not to announce a competition for the election of the dean and to remain in office, until the amendments to the Statute of the University of Sarajevo were adopted, which would enable him new mandate functions as dean.

The indictment was preceded by a complex investigation by the KS Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with investigators from the Police Administration of the MUP of KS and the KS Office for Combating Corruption, and in accordance with the signed Memorandum on the processing of corrupt criminal offenses.
