(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office against Senaid Memić, Tihomir Brajković, and the company Bulevar from Kiseljak for the criminal offense of abuse of office or authority.
Senaid Memić is accused of using his authority as the mayor of Ilidža municipality from 2019 to 2020 to enable the investor Bulevar from Kiseljak, whose director is Tihomir Brajković, to obtain "formal legalization" of previously commenced construction works above the eighth floor on 9 apartment blocks in Stupska Street. Although he knew that the investor had no right or basis to build the ninth floor and that it was contrary to the Regulatory Plan "Stup Nukleus", he enabled the company Bulevar to gain an illegal benefit exceeding two million marks in the form of construction and sale of apartments.
The prosecutor proposed to the court that the company Bulevar from Kiseljak be deprived of 2,908,610.94 KM in illegally acquired property benefits. For Senaid Memić, a ban on performing the duties of a municipal mayor for a period of five years from the finality of the verdict was proposed.
For the main trial, the court was proposed to hear 21 witnesses, 4 experts in construction, graphology, economics, and geodesy, and to present more than 300 material evidence. The indictment was preceded by a complex investigation by the KS Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with investigators from the Federal Police Administration.
