Performance 'Pain: Srebrenica is a Falling Star' tomorrow at the National Theatre Sarajevo

(Patria) - On Tuesday, July 11, starting at 9 PM, the performance "Pain: Srebrenica is a Falling Star" by Emina Minka Muftić will be staged in the foyer of the National Theatre Sarajevo.

The authors of the text are Melika Salihbeg Bosnawi and Janja Beč.

As the mentor of this project, Emina Minka Muftić is also one of the four performers.

Alongside her, embodying their pain regarding these sad events, will be actress Arma Tanović Branković, ballerina Lejla Bajramović, and witness of the time Fatima Muftić.

The project "Pain: Srebrenica is a Falling Star" was created as a mournful reminder of the tragic fate of the people of Srebrenica, of incomprehensible proportions.

It arose from the need of actress Emina Minka Muftić to "bow" to Srebrenica in her own artistic way.

Through a creative selection of literary material and suggestive interpretations, these four women, on a bare stage with minimalist scenography, opened the theatrical heavens and imprinted the pain of Srebrenica within universal frameworks.

All elements – words, music, dance, use of props, the appearance of the space – were in the service of this performance, almost of a sacred nature.

It was created for remembrance and as a warning!

So that it never happens to anyone again!
