Pavić Pečenković and Muzur Discussed Improving the Quality of Life for Ilidža Citizens

(Patria) - The Minister of Labour, Social Affairs, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton, Enda Pavić Pečenković, visited the Municipality of Ilidža and held a meeting with the Mayor, Nermin Muzur. They discussed improving the quality of life for the citizens of this local community, especially those belonging to vulnerable population categories.

The cooperation between the Ministry, i.e., the Government of Sarajevo Canton, and the Municipality of Ilidža has yielded very good results in the past period, and it was concluded at today's meeting that this cooperation can be further improved and raised to a higher level.

Minister Pavić Pečenković stated that she closely follows all positive developments in the field of social policy in the Ilidža municipality and praised other projects that directly affect the quality of life of the residents of Ilidža and Sarajevo Canton. She emphasized the exceptional importance of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy having good and continuous cooperation with all mayors in Sarajevo Canton, so that they can all work together to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Sarajevo Canton.

Mayor Muzur stated on this occasion that Ilidža strives to be an example in all social spheres, especially when it comes to issues related to social policy, which is particularly sensitive and requires great attention.

“We treat all issues within the scope of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton, as well as all socially sensitive categories of society, with particular empathy. Thanks to the engagement of our Service for Social Affairs, Health, Refugees and Displaced Persons, we have succeeded in positively resolving some very important issues related to social policy in the past period, as well as implementing some important projects, such as opening another Center for Healthy Aging in the Ilidža municipality,” stated Mayor Muzur.

He added that the Budget of the Municipality of Ilidža is of a social-developmental nature and that its growth, in the part related to capital projects, has never affected allocations for social issues, health, refugees, and displaced persons; rather, these have also grown.
