Union members indicted for illegal spending of money

(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office against Muhamed Papić, Senad Selimović, and Fatima Babić for the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority.

Muhamed Papić, president of the OSO DS "Sindikat BH Telecoma", Senad Sellimović, deputy, and treasurer Fatima Babić are accused of transferring money from the union organization's account to their own and other union members' accounts from 2015 to 2017.

They are also accused of evading the recording of administrative bans on personal income and the income of other persons for goods and services purchased through the union. Among other things, they spent union money on car registration, dental services, purchasing plastic greenhouses, etc. In this way, they illegally spent around 50,000 KM.

The acting prosecutor proposed the confiscation of illicit gains in the indictment. At the same time, a ban on performing duties, activities, or functions in all independent and collective management bodies in associations, foundations, and business companies for a period of 5 years from the finality of the verdict was proposed for the accused.

For the main hearing, the examination of 23 witnesses, three economic, graphological, and mechanical experts, and the presentation of about 400 material evidence were proposed.
