Working Group Convenes: Drivers from BiH Still Under Pressure of Schengen 90/180 Rule

(Patria) - A meeting of the Working Group for coordinating activities regarding the issue of drivers' stay in the Schengen zone, led by the Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Edin Forto, will be held today in Sarajevo.

The Working Group consists of representatives from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, and the chambers of commerce of Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, as well as the "Logistika BiH" Consortium.

Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, the Directorate for European Integration of BiH, the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Chamber of Commerce of Brčko District have also been included.

The members of the Working Group were appointed by a decision of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina at a session held on March 23, it was announced from the Ministry of Communications and Transport.

The meeting will be held at 12:00 PM in the building of BiH institutions in Sarajevo.

The Schengen 90/180 rule, which allows a stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period, still applies to professional drivers from BiH, effectively limiting their continuous work in the European Union market.
