Okerić accuses Our Party of Islamophobia, Bosniak's dismissal on March 14 or 17, KS Budget in Assembly by end of March

(Patria) - The Collegium of the KS Assembly will hold a session on March 5 to determine the date of the KS Assembly session at which the Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Construction, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection Bojan Bošnjak (Our Party), who was arrested on November 15 and spent almost three months in custody, will be dismissed.

At the proposal of the KS Prosecutor's Office, he was banned from performing his duties, as well as from entering the KS Government building and the premises of Our Party.

Although the KS Prime Minister Nihad Uk submitted a request for Bošnjak's dismissal on February 13, there was clearly no rush in this case.

The session at which Bošnjak is expected to be dismissed will be held on March 14 or 17. The name of his successor is not known at this time.

The Speaker of the KS Assembly Elvedin Okerić spoke about the reconstruction of the KS Government in the TVSA program Intervju on Monday, but also confirmed that there is still no final agreement.

He confirmed that Damir Marjanović's ZNG remains in the KS Government, but it is not yet known in what capacity, i.e., whether it will retain two ministries or have only one. Currently, ZNG leads the high education and finance sectors in the KS Government.

"We have been talking for two months, and it seems we lack the desire to reach an agreement. It's as if someone needs to create an additional complication; I hope we will find solutions together with our partners," said Okerić.

Okerić also criticized Our Party for its stance on shortening school classes due to Ramadan, even calling it Islamophobic.

"I hope that by the end of this week we will get serious and start with concrete proposals for the relevant ministries, regarding the budget proposal and scheduling the KS Assembly session," said Okerić.

He announced that a session to adopt the KS Budget should be scheduled by the end of March.

"The Government is constantly meeting and discussing the budget and finding solutions. We need to receive the proposal for the Assembly, and we have not received it yet. I think too much room has been left for individuals who have pressured the KS Government with initiatives. NIP, NS, SDP, ZNG will have to take responsibility by the end of March; they cannot delay this. We will have to show very soon whether we are responsible or not; I have nothing against going into opposition if we are not responsible, and let someone else come and fix the processes," said Okerić.
