Continuation of unfinished works on Obala Kulina bana street begins today

(Patria) - Works begin today on the left side of the roadway in Sarajevo's Obala Kulina bana street as part of the project to renovate the road from Skenderija to Ćumurija bridge.

The works will initially be carried out on the left side of the roadway and the sidewalk, and traffic will be adjusted accordingly. During the works on the left side of the roadway, the tram will operate.

On the section from Skenderija to Radićeva, where the final layer of asphalt was laid last year, the works were not properly executed according to the quality control laboratory report.

The contractor is obliged to rectify the situation, and the cost of these works is borne by the contractor.

This involves milling and re-asphalting the entire section from Skenderija to Radićeva, as well as leveling manholes and drainage grates, removing asphalt from pedestrian paths, and re-asphalting them.

Only after the work is properly completed will the contractor be paid for this job.

On the section from Radićeva to Ćumurija bridge, where a temporary layer of asphalt was previously laid at the contractor's expense, works will be carried out to remove that layer and lay the final layer of asphalt.

The Ministry of Transport and the Roads Directorate of the Sarajevo Canton expect maximum commitment from the contractor in carrying out the works and thank citizens for their patience and understanding.

The public will be promptly informed about the dynamics, changes in traffic regime, and all changes at the construction site.
