Nović asked Konaković where he got information about abuses in OSA and if it's true: Krišto couldn't answer

(Patria) - Sredoje Nović, Chairman of the Club of Delegates of the Serb People, today at the session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina asked an oral question to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković, who on September 6 stated that "OSA has documented more
than a hundred cases of abuse of wiretapping of politicians, journalists and other individuals without a court order, and that evidence concerning the abuse by the former director of OSA, Osman Mehmedagić, has been forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office".

"If that is the case, I am asking whether Mr. Konaković informed the Intelligence-Security Committee, whether it was discussed at the Intelligence-Security Committee, and whether the data obtained from OSA arrived through official channels and was forwarded to the BiH Prosecutor's Office. If we are committed to building a legal state, to maintaining the authority and building the authority of the institutions of this country, then we must provide an answer as to whether this is true or not. This is one of the most serious accusations I have heard in the last few years, that in a country it is possible for more than a hundred individuals to be abused by wiretapping by officials of a service. If that is the case, then I am interested to know if it was discussed at the competent committee and if any conclusions were reached," said Nović.

Borjana Krišto, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, addressed Nović, stating that she could not provide an answer today. Minister Konaković was sitting behind Nović.

"I will delegate this question to the Intelligence-Security Committee because, at this moment, I cannot provide any official answer on behalf of the Committee," said Krišto, asking Nović to submit his question in writing.

Nović commented on this by saying that he had submitted the question in writing earlier and expected the Committee to have already considered it.

"This is not a question about afforestation of Bjelašnica or Jahorina. This question deeply affects the constitutionality and legality of a country. Secondly, we know that Konaković made that statement. I haven't heard the stance of OSA, let alone the Prosecutor's Office, which said it did not receive the request. If this continues, don't let anyone come out and talk about a legal state. There will be no legal state here for who knows when. Of course, I demand that the Intelligence-Security Committee clearly state its position on this issue. Is this data from OSA, or is it data from individuals from OSA who are giving their views on some major state issues in this country," added Nović.
