(Patria) - Today, Fikret Hodžić was acquitted by a final second-instance verdict of the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This puts an end to the proceedings against him in the "Respirators" affair, in which he was initially sentenced to five years in prison.
On this occasion, former Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić, who was sentenced to four years in prison, spoke on social media.
"I am delighted by the news that Fikret Hodžić has been ACQUITTED!
During the time I spent with him in prison, I witnessed his unwavering commitment to the fight for justice, as well as his care for his family and friends, even in the most difficult circumstances. This acquittal represents an important step in deconstructing a staged process, but justice is not fully satisfied as long as even one innocent man is in prison. I hope that Fahrudin and I will soon be reunited with our families," Novalić said.
