(Patria) - A commemoration was held today at Tuzla's Kapija for the victims of the massacre committed on May 25, 1995, in which 71 people were killed and around 200 wounded by a shell fired from Serbian positions on Mount Ozren.
Families of the victims, survivors, associations, citizens, sports clubs, numerous delegations from all levels of government, and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after laying flowers in the Alley of Youth where the massacre victims are buried, also laid flowers at Kapija and paid tribute to all those killed. The head of the OSCE Mission, Brian Ageller, also paid his respects. The youngest victim of the Kapija massacre was two-and-a-half-year-old Sandro Kalesić.
During the commemoration, the names of the victims were read out, and it was emphasized that remembering them remains an obligation for future generations, marking the 30th anniversary of the Kapija massacre.
