
(Patria) - A professional associate from the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH is at unmarked burial sites at the location of the Repce City Cemetery in the municipality of Pale, where, by order of the presiding prosecutor, coordinates the work of authorized persons participating in the process of exhuming remains.
At the said location, incomplete remains of at least two persons were found.
According to collected information, there is a probability that one of the found persons is the remains of a victim of Serbian ethnicity, missing in the Sarajevo area in 1994.
The identity of the missing persons will be determined by DNA analysis of the found remains, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH announced.
Present at the exhumation are a forensic pathologist, representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons (INO) of BiH, the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) in BiH, workers performing the work, as well as representatives of the MUP of RS (PS Pale) who secure the location and provide forensic-technical support.
