Wet and slippery roads across BiH: Ice, fog, and traffic disruptions on several routes

(Patria) - Roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina are wet and slippery. Due to freezing rain, we warn of ice on most routes. Drivers should exercise increased caution when crossing bridges and overpasses. Fog and low clouds reduce visibility in valleys and along river courses.

We warn of the possibility of landslides and falling rocks on the road.
We appeal to all drivers to adhere to traffic regulations and to avoid sudden braking and risky overtaking in these conditions.

Traffic is banned for all vehicle categories on the Bosansko Grahovo-Drvar road, while traffic is prohibited for heavy goods vehicles on the Bosansko Grahovo-Strmica road.

On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons remains suspended.

Long queues of passenger vehicles are observed at the exits from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Gradina and Gradiška border crossings. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is proceeding with delays of up to 30 minutes.

Due to passenger registration under the new EU entry/exit system (EES), longer delays at border crossings are possible.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. From December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing will be open for all vehicle categories. Traffic is prohibited for all heavy goods vehicles at the Šepak border crossing.
