Wet road surface, keep your distance while driving

(Patria) - In most of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the road surface is wet and occasionally slippery this morning. In higher mountain areas and over passes, landslides of earth and stones onto the road are possible, and drivers can expect crosswinds on open sections. Due to the aforementioned weather conditions, we recommend avoiding sudden braking and increasing the distance between vehicles. We also call on pedestrians and cyclists to be extra careful, especially in urban areas where the road surface is wet. We ask all road users for patience and compliance with traffic regulations.

In places where rehabilitation works are being carried out, longer queues of vehicles may form in both directions. We appeal to drivers to drive carefully and adhere to traffic regulations.

Works are underway on the Podlugovi-Sarajevo sjever section of the highway, as well as on the main roads: Zenica-Žepče (Topčić Polje), Ustikolina-Goražde (Mravinjac), Sarajevo-Pale, Vrhpolje-Ključ, Olovo-Semizovac, and Jablanica-Prozor.

We remind you that traffic for all vehicles up to 3.5 tons of total mass is allowed on the Jablanica-Blidinje main road.

At border crossings, traffic frequency occasionally increases, but passenger vehicles, for now, do not wait longer than 30 minutes to cross the border. The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Trucks can travel through the Šepak border crossing from 9 AM to 1 PM and from 10 PM to 6 AM (on weekends, they can cross between 10 PM and 6 AM).
