(Patria) - The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mission) recognizes the efforts of the Central Election Commission (CEC) aimed at preserving the integrity of electoral processes, including the decision to annul the results of the early elections at 135 polling stations in Republika Srpska and one in Brčko District of BiH.
"In order to ensure the legitimacy of the elected authorities in Republika Srpska, the Mission calls on all political actors, institutions and election participants to fully respect the decisions of the CEC, to refrain from actions or rhetoric that could undermine confidence in the electoral process, and to provide active support for the conduct of transparent and credible elections.
Any threats directed at the CEC and its members are contrary to OSCE principles and international electoral standards and may constitute both political pressure and a criminal offense in accordance with the relevant legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Mission remains committed to supporting democratic processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is ready to continue cooperation with the CEC and other competent institutions on this matter," the OSCE Mission announced.
