'Merhamet' is once again preparing meals for the vulnerable population in Gaza

(Patria) - The Muslim charitable society "Merhamet" and "Merhamet" Sweden, after the
conditions have been met, have once again started preparing meals for the vulnerable population of Gaza. The meals are being prepared in cooperation with the Turkish partner organization IHH, which has an improvised kitchen in the Gaza area.

According to Kenan Vrbanjac, president of HO "Merhamet" MDD, meals will be prepared daily for the next month, and if circumstances in the area allow, "Merhamet" will continue with such activities.

- Our partners from the IHH organization are on the ground. Thanks to their improvised kitchen in Gaza, "Merhamet", according to its capabilities, feeds numerous families in the area daily. "Merhamet" and IHH have also organized meal preparation for the population of Gaza in the past two years, so we have experience in this – said Vrbanjac.    

Immediately after the start of Israeli military actions, "Merhamet" launched a major aid collection campaign for Gaza, which is still ongoing.

- The response is very good, because Bosnians and Herzegovinians in the country and diaspora have a particularly emotional relationship with Palestinians and sympathize with their decades-long suffering and sacrifices – emphasized Vrbanjac.
