'Merhamet' and the Islamic Community's Riasat in BiH Secure Another 360 Tons of Flour for Gaza's Vulnerable Population

(Patria) - The Muslim Charity Organisation 'Merhamet', the Riasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Mešihat of the Islamic Community in Serbia have secured another 360 tons of flour for the vulnerable population of Gaza, which will be transported to the area in 14 trucks.

The first convoy of eight trucks, carrying 192 tons of flour, departed from Egypt towards Gaza last night, and the remaining six trucks will reach the area immediately after Eid al-Fitr.

The departure of the convoy for Gaza, at the distribution centre near Cairo, was attended by the president of HO 'Merhamet' MDD Kenan Vrbanjac and the head of the Social Welfare Office of the Riasat of IZBiH Ibrahim Malanović.
- I thank the Riasat of the Islamic Community in BiH and the Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović, the Mešihat of the Islamic Community in Serbia and the Mufti Mevlud ef. Dudić. We are also grateful to BiH entrepreneurs Rusmir Hrvić, Senad Džambić and Amel Hadžiavdić, who donated funds for two trucks of flour for Gaza, one in the previous and one in this convoy.

Thanks also to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who participated in this campaign and collected aid for the people of Gaza - said the president of 'Merhamet' Kenan Vrbanjac.

Earlier, the Riasat and the Islamic Community in BiH sent a convoy of five trucks with 100 tons of flour to the population of Gaza, so they have so far provided 460 tons of this foodstuff to the vulnerable Palestinian people.

In addition, since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, 'Merhamet' and the Islamic Community in BiH, in cooperation with the Turkish partner organisation IHH, have been preparing meals for the population of Gaza daily, and iftars throughout Ramadan.

Kenan Vrbanjac and Ibrahim Malanović emphasised that 'Merhamet' and the Islamic Community in BiH will continue to help the vulnerable population of Gaza and thanked the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who once again showed solidarity and empathy towards people in need.
