(Patria) - With deep sadness and pain, we inform you that by God's will, Hajji Azemina Delić, born in 1956 in Travnik, passed away tonight in her hotel room in Mecca.
Delić performed the Hajj this year and stayed at the holy sites as part of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian Hajj group 11.
Death was confirmed by the head of the Medical Team of the Office for Hajj and Umrah of the Islamic Community's Reis-ul-ulema, Dr. Mirsad Hošić.
Hajji Azemina passed away in Mecca, in the most chosen place, in the days when souls draw closer to the Lord's mercy more than ever. Her life's journey ended where many dream of meeting their end, near the Kaaba, during the days of Hajj, in a state of worship and devotion to Allah, SWT.
The funeral prayer will be performed tomorrow in the courtyard of the Kaaba, and the burial will take place in the cemetery in Mecca.
The leadership of the Office for Hajj and Umrah of the Islamic Community's Reis-ul-ulema in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Reisul-hudžadž Prof. Dr. Enes-ef. Ljevaković extended their condolences to the family of Hajji Azemina Delić.
– Her death has deeply affected us, but it has also reminded us of the greatness of God's decree.
We pray to Allah, SWT, to accept her Hajj and acts of worship, forgive her sins, and grant her family patience – stated the Office for Hajj and Umrah of the Islamic Community in BiH.
