Krug 99: We are outraged by the silence over threats to Kovačević, these are threats to all who want a prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - Krug 99 expresses outrage that our public does not react to the brutal death threats directed at Slaven Kovačević, the applicant before the European Court of Human Rights.

"This is not only a threat and intimidation of Slaven Kovačević, it is also a threat to all those who seek a new vision and model of a free and prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina, free of ethnonationalism and fascism. On this occasion, we call on the academic community, non-governmental organizations, political parties and diplomatic representatives to condemn this vile act of intimidation against a persistent fighter for human rights and the interests of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to live in peace," the statement reads.

It adds: "No threat, not even this most serious one, will stop the necessary historical course of development towards European integrations and a modern Bosnia and Herzegovina. But the silence of the public and civic passivity will."
